The Group consist of six fully owned companies and stake in three others. The group traces its roots back in 1954 when Hakimi Glass Mart was established in Mombasa’s old town and a branch in Digo Road.

Hakimi Glass Mart transferred to Nakuru in 1990 and was incorporated as Hakima Glazier Ltd in 2001.

In 1996, Royal Trading Company Ltd was launched in Nairobi to deal in the importation of sundry items and general merchandise; the very first line of imports was the Royal Furniture brand, which has given the company its identity.

In the year 2001, Amatulla Glass & Hardware was launched in Westland while Super Bargains Kenya Ltd was launched in Nairobi in the year 2002.

In 2005, Royal Appliances Ltd was launched to be the sole distributors of Sonashi (A French-owned brand) & Nobel (A UAE – owned brand) specializing in home appliances & consumer electronics.

Sonashi and Nobel brands have proved very popular in the Kenyan market and are tested for durability, reliability, climate tolerance and impact resistance.
